Job Overview

We seek a self-directed, reliable, energetic, and insightful person with a broad understanding of the health care and/or human service environment and a focus on change management, quality improvement, or human-centered design to serve in a full-time role as an Analyst. This role features intensive teamwork requiring exceptional collaboration skills – you will be supporting multiple projects at a time. You will be embedded with our teams of consultants and interact directly with clients, gaining experience in the fields of consulting, cross-sector coordination and collaboration, health, and human service data exchange, and health policy in the context of transformative changes taking place in today’s health care and human service industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Serve as a member of Intrepid consulting teams on client engagements by coordinating activities for the team such as: helping to prepare and maintain project documents including meeting agendas, notes/minutes, presentations, reports, updating and maintaining project calendars, scheduling meetings, and assisting with project monitoring and reporting.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research, analyze information, and contribute to the development of high-quality work products for our clients, such as assessments, presentations, and other documents including proposals for new business. Apply critical thinking skills to draw sound conclusions from information and various data sources.
  • Client Interaction: Provide support to client teams by scheduling meetings and coordinating our work with guidance and/or direction from client teams, acting at all times with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Professional Development: Develop skills toward higher-level consulting and project management with increasing levels of responsibility; learn about subject areas in our field, with the opportunity to begin specializing in one or more areas; engage in professional growth activities, such as reading industry material, attending conferences and educational events, and participating in online webinars and courses.
  • Human-centered design and/or quality improvement: Apply human-centered design and/or quality improvement methodologies to supporting project teams and client engagements, including but not limited to supporting the development of engaging meetings, supporting external human-centered design and/or QI-focused sessions, and data analysis and tracking.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a healthcare, social work, or public health focus, preferred;
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a role directly associated with stakeholder engagement, human-centered design and/or quality improvement, project coordination, or analysis at a public health, health care, or social service organization, consulting firm, or other relevant experience;
  • Experience structuring and facilitating inclusive, participatory meetings; 
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to master new topics and ideas quickly;  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; creative and strategic thinker with strong analytical skills; the ability to communicate privacy, security, and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences; persuasive, encouraging, motivating, and inspiring.

  • Previous experience in a consulting environment;
  • An interest and understanding of public health and/or Medicaid programs;
  • Experience with Human Centered Design concepts, Healthcare IT, and/or Community Health;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office product suite, project management tools such as Wrike or Monday.com, and/or CRM tools;
  • Data analysis experience in an academic, public health, or consulting environment.

  • The salary band for this position is $70,000 - 90,000 annually
