Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic professional with deep expertise in healthcare, social services, and their intersection to join our team as a Senior Consultant, Technology Strategy. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in relevant industry areas, coupled with experience in fast-paced consulting or similar work environments. This role requires advanced project management and communication skills to drive project success while ensuring seamless coordination among team members, clients, and firm leadership. As a key member of our consulting team, you will contribute at all levels of client engagements and may, at times, serve as an individual contributor.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage client engagements, serving as Project Lead on technical initiatives, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic guidance on health IT concepts, technology platforms, interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7v2, IHE, etc.) and health-related analytics.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expertise in electronic health records, case management platforms, and health analytics systems.
  • Drive business development efforts, including proposal writing, market research, and identifying new opportunities to expand firm opportunities.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including authoring blog posts, presenting at conferences, and publishing industry insights, to elevate and advance our work.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support direct reports and subcontractors, ensuring accountability, performance excellence, and professional growth.
  • Support internal initiatives, including process improvement, learning collaboratives, and best practice development.
  • Work across interdisciplinary areas, including policy innovation and co-design, to align technology solutions with broader healthcare and social service objectives.
  • Foster strong client relationships, demonstrating exceptional communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel for client engagements, with an estimated frequency of one trip per month as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications   

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, with prior consulting experience strongly preferred, and preferably with some in a remote environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team management, mentorship, and project oversight.
  • Expertise in health information exchange (HIE), data interoperability, and health IT standards.
  • Experience with EHR systems, case management platforms, and analytic tools within healthcare or social services.
  • Strong project management skills, including resource planning, timeline management, and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage clients and stakeholders, providing technical expertise in an accessible and actionable manner.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in client presentations and technical documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office Suite, Slack, Zoom, and project management tools such as Wrike.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements as needed.

  • The salary band for this position is $115,000 - $140,000, depending on relevant experience.
